Home School Communication

We value our commitment to working together with our children’s whanau. We encourage parents to come into classes and see their children’s learning. Parents are welcome to make a time to speak with teachers at any time of the year if they have any questions or concerns about their child’s learning.

A whanau picnic where parents can chat with their child’s teacher in an informal setting is held at the start of the school year. We hold whanau feedback meetings at the end of Term 2.

Reporting to caregivers in the areas of Reading, Writing and Mathematics happens at the end of Term 2 and Term 4.This is done via the HERO app. We also include reporting about one other curriculum area in Term 2 (depending on the big ideas inquiry topic at the time) and we also report on our Riverlands School values with a general comment in Term 4.
